The rotary drum granulator is a common equipment for granulating phosphate compound fertilizers, mainly used in the production of monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer (NPK), triple superphosphate (TSSP), urea-based nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium and other products.
How does the drum granulator work?
Compared with the disc granulator and the extrusion granulator, the drum granulator has a high output and high granule strength, up to 30 tons per hour. It can make your fertilizer plant more efficient and bring better economic benefits.
The drum granulator is driven by the main motor, belt and pulley, and then transmitted to the driving shaft through the reducer. The split gears installed on the driving shaft mesh with the large gear ring fixed on the machine body and work in opposite directions. The material is added from the feed end and passes through the inside of the drum. Through the special structure inside the drum, it is made into granules and finally flows out through the discharge port. Due to the continuous entry of materials and the continuous rotation of the granulator, mass production can be achieved.
Features of rotary drum granulator
The rotary drum granulator uses a wet granulation method. Water and steam will be generated during the working process, causing chemical reactions in the raw materials in the barrel. Under liquid conditions, the material is centrifuged to aggregate the powder together to form granular materials. The finished particles can reach 2-6mm.
The rotary drum granulator uses a special rubber sheet lining or acid-resistant stainless steel lining to automatically remove sticky materials. The ball formation rate is as high as 70%, and a small amount of return material can be re-granulated.
